Honest question: Why are people so excited about Jack Mallers and Strike?

Isn't this nothing more than a fancy exchange?

They KYC and will hand over your data to any government when asked to.

Apps are closed source, as far as I can see.

He sends money to nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx who I imagine is at odds with this product?

Enlighten me please

Jack is a great Bitcoiner. Speaks really well. Represents the community well. Was a big part of EL Salvador early on with Bitcoin Beach.

You’re right about Strike though. I used it a few years ago to buy a good amount BTC. Spreads were great and it just worked well for me. A lot has changed though and I don’t use it anymore. Seems a bit captured now & harder to work with.

Me rappelle pour le Salvador et les pays cités en Asie pour l'Afrique j'avais observé sa démo lors de Africa Bitcoin à Accra l'an dernier en cette même période.. 👍

Personally, I'm not. 😅

There's a part of me that wants to say that they're doing good work, but there's the other part of me, and this is the dominant side of me, that doesn't give a shit about KYC and compliance focused companies.
