Let me guess the excuses

"That's not the point of it"

"It's actually a benefit"

"The tech works fine though and it's doing what it's suppose to do"

Before anyone complain about this, you better know that I actually use Monero

Yes.

Is that why going on making rules about?

Good to know

Actually, Monero has only 1 feature that is better than in Bitcoin. That is it's anonymity.

I use Monero, but now I'm confused with the claims from people who want to shit on Bitcoin. Seems like Monero is only a utility coin.

The network effect of Monero is much smaller than Bitcoins. I don't see the long term inflation of 1% per year as a big problem, but it's much less used than Bitcoin. So yeah, you could call it a utility coin.

It's the utility coin of darknet markets.

where / how do you buy / sell monero in brazil? wallet, exchange, etc

Bisq, First I buy Bitcoin then I swap for Monero there.

lol. I've seen a lot of people push Monero, and while it is useful at times to do quick swaps to obfuscate a BTC transaction, most/all of these people mistake Monero as being superior to Bitcoin for all the wrong reasons.

Regardless though, private transaction systems are increasing in Bitcoin and most likely a new default way to transact private will emerge in Bitcoin =3

Yeah, I've seen plenty of people boasting about it's superiority, but the supply thing is a major turnoff for me, I guess people are correct when they warn you to hold BTC and spend XMR. The Ark Protocol sounds like the next step for privacy in Bitcoin.

Monero is superior in different areas from Bitcoin.

Strong default privacy, real world fungibility, and very cheap tx fees = Better MoE without sacrificing core aspects of self-custody, permissionlessness, p2p, etc on L2s

Cheap transaction fees only because it's less used than Bitcoin. For the rest I agree.

Not true. If Monero was used as much as Bitcoin it's tx fees would be just as cheap because of dynamic blocks.

Looked through Ark from what's available. I like the idea. I have a couple of concerns though and a couple of things I'd need clarification on, but if those are ironed out, then it might potentially be a winner. Hoping for the best =3

Almost everything has a virtually unlimited supply if you invest more time.

Monero has less inflation than gold. And unlike fiat money, it's creation is predictable. You can never mine more than 0.6 XMR every two minutes.

Monero is meant to be used as an ideal P2P digital cash. Save with Bitcoin if you think SoV trend will hold. But honestly any prediction into the future is speculation. Bitcoin can control the supply side of the equation, but the fickle demand side is out of it's control.
