In the past couple of weeks, I've gotten to work with the Saniflo toilet system. We both installed one and repaired one.

The Saniflo toilet is used when the toilet is located somewhere that will not have access to a drain line running underneath it. A common location is a basement.

I learned that inside the pump system is a diaphragm for activating the pump when is hits a certain fill level. This will then activate a grinding system similar to a blender and will then pump out whats inside often upwards to the drainline.

I have coined a nickname, and I doubt I'm the first to think of it this way. It's basically a Poothie Blender 💩.

I take it this is to code vs a compost toilet?

Careful...you see what happened to the last guy.
