That's basically what I've been suspecting. Also cats follow me - I wonder if it means I need healing

It very well may be a sign that you are already healed

hmm. Maybe in spirit

cats are basically wild animals that you can't train and have been over exaggerated to be good pets.

IMHO, that's precisely why they make good "pets" ... self cleaning, poop hiding, low maintenance friends that dont really need you.

they will definitely hide their poop in a corner if you don't clean their litter enough.

I don't think calling cats low maintenance is correct. It's a myth. They require lots of attention or they will get into trouble. Put a camera and record them when you go to work. They will get sad. I still like cats tho, just build a backyard catio and they will roam outside and won't cause much trouble.

I always assume people let their cats out. I dont have a litter box. That's gross.

My cat lives outside and sleeps in my garage. I let her in sometimes, but she's fine. She is is very low maintenance.

I wouldn't dream of keeping a cat in-doors.

On the farm growing up the cats wanted little to do with the humans. Much happier living in the barn and hunting. Trying to catch and tame the wild kittens was fun.

That's exactly how wild animals act. They rather be outdoors doing their normal instincts away from humans and they especially do not want to be cooped up inside in an apartment.

Cats are definitely much happier living in a barn setting or house.

Keeping them inside an apartment never to experience the outdoors is not low maintenance, it's sad for the cat. Cats need more attention inside in an apartment because there's nothing else for them to do.

They are still very much wild because we never bred them they way be bred dogs.

Watch the show my cat from hell and you will see that cats are not low maintenance at all. It's the owners who buy a cat and except the cat to be happy because they have this thing in their head that cats don't need anything but food and a litter box.

I agree that if you keep your cat in an apt. it no longer becomes a low maintenance pet.

Still, a cat given the space to roam is still probably the lowest maintenance pet you can have.

wow. do you know what we call your type of cat owner? A bad owner. You're not supposed to let your cat roam around outside. It's not safe for the cat and cats cause problems on other people's property.

There is some cat owners who are the same as you. Their cats always hang out outside. I always feed them and pet them.

What I'm doing is supposedly bad because You're not supposed to feed them either.

One of the cats almost died on a winter night and I saved it because I gave it a box and blanket.

Thats some Canadian-ass shit. In the US, cats are considered free-roaming animals. They almost never cause problems on other people properties.

My cat is well fed and has a warm-enough place to sleep.

I'm pretty sure my cat is very happy.

Let's ask your neighborhood and see what they say. Your cat is probably shitting on their property. Outdoor cats also live much shorter lives then indoor cats.

Cats are the number one problem with killing birds. In the USA they kill around 4 billion birds annually.

So you are the problem letting your property roam around and cause destruction.

You're being a real ninny.

1. My neighbor also has outside cats

2. Lifespan vs. Quality of a life may be a tradeoff I (and my cat) are willing to deal with.

3. Get the fuck on with your woke-enviro bullshit. There's hella birds here.

I like you Mar. Now shut the fuck up.

No you're the one who is woke. You're already upset because you don't like to hear things that you don't like.

The truth is leaving your pet cat live outdoors is risky and shortens their lifespan, injury, diseases and parasites, poisoning, getting lost or stolen, negative impact on wildlife.

Just because your neighbor does something doesn't mean it's right. You should think for yourself and do your own research.

OK bro. You win. Me and my cat will just have to get along... somehow.... despite your excellent advice.
