Perhaps, in the interim as something to fallback on whilst we wait for app devs to update with `delete` support, we roll out a #Nostr bounty for a deletion tool that will fetch the event ID from a given note and will then scrape all known relays from nostr.watch and blasts a delete event?
Discussion
I understand the need to recreate a familiar experience in e.g. deleting a tweet on twitter.
I don’t understand how it’s possible to ensure all the relays delete a certain note.
Maybe my non-technical understanding is off: all you need is one relay to not cooperate, one bot to take a snapshot of a note the instant it is received on a relay.
This note now exists, and deletion requests will not be honored.
It is not fair to a new nostr client user to state/have a “delete” button, when the note is stored somewhere.
It seems to me, also non-technical, that while yes you can’t delete a note off every relay, a note is “as good as” deleted if it’s gone from a supermajority of popular & free relays.
Then someone will create a niche paid relay to relay only “deleted” notes 😋
💯
There is a telegram group titled “crypto deleted” that shares deleted tweets only of certain accounts
Thankfully I’m not relevant
Ya I’d be shocked & kind of honored if someone paid a relay for my deleted Notes
🤝 Marginal plebs, 🚶♂️ Followed
I would pay for a bot to share the deleted note on the deleters timeline 😂
You are so sadic hahaha
I gonna create a religion to pay homage to Iris
Right?! Hahaha #[5]
