I'm still learning myself, but here's how I started this "test-community":

. go to https://nostrudel.ninja and login

. go to "communities," then click "create"

. fill out the form and "create community"

I created the "General" community at https://nostrudel.ninja/#/c/General/005bc4de41cfcb580f71cad6ae8909a976568633a4f6a93c6b7fd5bfef11e1a2 Here's a friendly invite to join. :)

Also, if you don't mind, where did you find this "test-community"? I made it to just mess around and learn. If I knew where you found it, that would help me learn as well.

Perfect, yes I did figure that out right after I sent message. However, at this point I was looking for instructions on how to place the image on the community.

Yes, I did subscribe to both this test-community and the general community.

Great! To place an image on the community, do you mean the background image? If so, there's a place in the "edit commumity" forn on nostrudel for that. If you just mean an image in a post/note, just add it the way you would add an image any other time ( I think). At times I've found I need to host the image somewhere, anywhere, then copy paste I. The url to that image.

I am speaking of banner image/ profile image. The one thing I saw was URL. I did not see any other way. Plus I am not sure of the meaning in your reply of this phrase "forn on nostrudel" when discussing "edit community"

Sorry, typo. Should have been "form" on when trying to edit a community. That's the only place and manner I saw as well. Maybe this is the type of thing that will grow out a nostr does.

Is there a better source? My images from https://nostr.build/ look cheap and distorted. Most other community pics look crisp and clean?

You can use any source you want as far as I know for hosting images. Maybe upload to nostr as if you were going to include the image in a note, then copy/paste the URL into the banner slot on the form. I do a fair amount of stuff on the Hive blockchain, so I have several images housed there (hive.blog or peakd.com) and just use the URL that points to those servers. Maybe this helps.
