shrimp cocktail, spent many a preholiday deshelling and deveining a bunch of shrimp to boil and making cocktail sauce to pack up and bring downstate and later down the shore to our aunts and uncle and cousins.

my older male cousins would always bring their own horseradish and hot sauce to tamper with it until it was a chemical warfare situation

my dad is also known for his stuffed mushrooms with crabmeat but hasnt made them in a long time.

his grandmother was a professional cook. so everyone on this side of the family cooks confidently and well. lasting grandma legacy.
