Love is sadly foreign and unfamiliar to some people. No matter how much they're shown, how much they're given, they don't recognise it because they feel undeserving of it. It is a tragedy.

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is forgive yourself.

Same goes with loving ones self.

I'm kind of the inverse of that. It's a complex debate that I could literally fill paragraphs with, I won't though.

There's no right or wrong and never black and white either. Just experiences with different walks of life.

Alex, keep away from broken people

You'll only get hurt

It is sad, it makes me sad.

Out of all the notes. I wish I could erase this from all nostr. Ban this from ever being mentioned.

Why

Too real. Feel seen

You are not alone. ๐Ÿซ‚

What you say is true but since we've been born, we received and gave love, and each of us have both good and bad experiances with it.

That's what makes some people being more cautious. It's not that they don't want to receive it or giving it but they have a bigger margin then others not to hurt someone or to get hurt by someone.

Love is simple but it can be complex as well.

It's hormones which triggers the whole love thing. We should blame them :)

Time cures this.

This is a fairly common issue among children of adoption.

Itโ€™s funny cuz everyoneโ€™s chasing money, power and fame when what they really want is love

Also, I would like to add this can be a common occurence among veterans as well.

Sad version of this in the US post-election world. It's like we can't recognize the opportunity for change when it's right in front of us.

"We love environmentalism and hate big pharma"

"Here's a rock-solid environmentalist who wants to take on the corporations adding nasty stuff to our food and tricking you about pharma safety"

"NOOO! he's crazy"

"We want healthy soils and agriculture"

"Well, how about this fellow who lives offgrid and grows his own food, helped by the foremost proponent of regenerative agriculture? This way of farming rebuilds soils and ecosystems"

NOO! they're linked to the bad man, so they must be bad

(I'm not holding my breath on major systemic change, but it's still cool to see some genuinely good ideas being put out there)
