that feature is actually not bad at all. I'm not entirely sure how it works, but I think people self-select if something is sensitive when they post?
do you know if it's possible to hide sensitive posts entirely rather than just the content?
It's client dependend. There are ways you to mark your content in some clients like snort and amethyst, and clients have the option to hide that content or certain tags (like NSFW), and clients can filter out people that have been reported.
And some clients do it better than others. Damus and Amethyst seems pretty consistent with bluring and block/muting, zbd seems to blur photos randomly and stills shows people you have blocked. 🤷
