Anyone else find this whole thing a bit off? Why is Google admitting this now? Why the “third party” qualifier on future use of fact checkers? Why the specific invitation to content creators thrown off the platform? The news is too superficial about this whole thing. Google’s actions are saying something their words aren’t. There’s a deeper story here, I’m just not sure what it is.

Susan died in 2024, that’s an old video.
I admit I did not watch the video at first and was posting more in reference to the press release. Watching these old videos from back then though really displays to me how people’s judgement was so clouded, including my own. Hopefully more clarity as we move forward.
