Great work!

Do you find that fountain pens allow you to have better dexterity and control over your penmanship which allows you to have such intricate details?

Our art styles are very similar. I would love to discover ways to improve my drawing skills. Any tips is very much appreciated. As this artistic expression helps to calm my mind and sooth my soul.

I do drawings like these with a variety of different devices — fineliners, dip pens, fountain pens, brushes, etc. I think for me the only thing that really matters is how fine of a line the object is capable of putting down. The finer, the better!

What I do like about fountain pens (at least the ones I have) is that they're physically thicker/wider than fineliners and brushes — makes it a bit easier on the hands during long sessions. And they're nice for being on-the-go. And being able to just refill them with different inks is fun as well.

If you really want some brutal practice, fill up pieces of paper with straight, fine lines as close together as possible using a brush / brush pen + ink 💀 Keep the line as consistent as possible 💀 Then trace over them again trying to do it exactly the same way 💀 Then start doing it with curves + angles 💀
