‘Printing money is fine because we can create demand through taxes and if ppl refuse to use our money and pay taxes then they go to jail’ 🤡 that’s basically the line of thinking

Just hold a gun to people’s head and make them build your social projects. All for the greater good of course

One thing she does often, like all other MMT proponent, is to say "I'm not prescribing how the economy should be. I'm only describing how it works".

I've seen her say this in interviews, but she also wrote it in the first half of the book. In the second half, she starts to prescribe how things should be.
