Updated and reconfigured my private relay this morning. Just discovered there were already more than 4000 events (all spam notes) in the database so I think the whitelist feature in v1.18 of Nostream was not doing the right job..

Now at v1.22.1 and it looks steady and calm for now. Let’s see if this note pops up in my pgAdmin app for viewing the data.

That message was posted in the Damus app, and no new event pops up in my relay. So I assume Damus is not posting my notes to my private relay. This message I'm writing in the client gossip. Testing this out :)

Hmmm see no event posted to my relay. This is what I see in the terminal while using gossip:

INFO Posted event to wss://nos.lol

INFO Posted event to wss://nostr.cheeserobot.org

INFO Posted event to wss://nostr.cheeserobot.org

INFO Posted event to wss://nostr.uselessshit.co

INFO Posted event to wss://relay.damus.io

INFO Posted event to wss://relay.nostr.nu

Ah now it showed up with my previous comment

I think I figured it out, I needed to add my pubkey in hex format (documentation needs a lot of improvement) and now my messages are showing up in the postgres database of the relay! Test test...

Yeah, I had to convert all those keys to hex in my whitelist… 😅

There you have it:

Another test, again from Damus this time 🥸
