You can be against the most vile content without believing in central authority being used to censor it. Block lists exist for a reason.
Exactly was also for me quite shocking too see how willing he seems to push censorship. Looked almost like he can't wait to see it coming asap. But I'm certain that most of us here won't support this direction. I'll definitely stop using every client etc. which actively pushes such stuff.
This happens to every platform that Twitter refugees leave. They ruined mastodon with Censorship and divided it. The same users here wanted distributed block lists.

I agree with you. You can have safety or freedom, but not both.
People left Twitter because they found out the rules they wanted ended up being used against themselves, then they came to ActivityPub and did the same thing again.
People need to learn to live with disagreement.
I’ve had ppl multiple ppl report me as spam here for disagreeing with their opinions on crypto, so I’m hoping the ones actually working on nostr itself are actually trying to make it censorship resistant.

Don't use YouTube (I use LibreTube) on my phone so I have no DVR access, but I have no doubt censorship was touted as a feature or referred to as "effective moderation" since every client seems to be headed in a "no more hurt feelings" direction after Alex brought about Mostr.
