You're not crazy. I want to do something like this too, if you see what they put in the water and the food. And how unstable the electricity grid is. Cooling always seemed like the easiest issue to me because when it's hot, the sun shines and you can easily generate electricity.

There’s a lot of power required for AC.
If you’re ok with an in house temp in the 80s you’re fine but I don’t recommend it.
But i live near inland swamps in a subtropical climate.
Now if you could figure out how to use the low grade heat generated by ASICS to supply heat needed for absorption AC or chiller units that’s a game changer. Less power draw than a full AC unit & now you’re using what would end up being wasted energy.
If people can use ASICS to heat their water I don’t see why this wouldn’t be possible
