Video game worlds until now have been limited because they had to be created by humans piece by piece. But now it's becoming possible to use AI to do a lot of the grunt work. Soon we're going to see video game worlds increase in both size and complexity.

Nearly 3 decades ago some game worlds were being initialized with algorithms. It still required humans to vet and clean up some attributes. Even still, some bugs remained. Whats changed since then is improvements to the algorithms.

a great early example of this is the remnant games. been playing way too much remnant 2 and each run feels unique with the procedural generation between set-pieces
