Look at the joints where the leaves meet the stems after about 6 weeks of growth. Males have little balls with no hair. Females have balls also, but have prominent translucent hairs sticking out of them.
Look for bawls at the nodes and kill it ASAP if you arent wanting seeds.
look at the leaf branches with a magnifying glass.
