I’m going, love the USA
it definitely scared away a European that I know. she's worried that they will notice that she "Liked" Anti-Trump memes-- i had to laugh but apparently it's a real fear, enough to make her go to Tanzania instead
also the 100$ foreigner upcharge at US National parks...
although UK charged 120$ just to get out of Heathrow so no one should take it personally.
oh, but the worse part about the National Park thing was allegedly Trump's face was going to be on the yearly national park pass that was required for foreigners.
This is the guy openly threatening to invade Canada and Europe. Not exactly rolling out the welcome mat.
I don't travel to Turkey, either.
i've heard good things about Istanbul... but Italy is much higher on the list rn with their food culture
We ♥ Italy.
italian food is definitely shit hot, the coffees even, omg. but i think turkish food is pretty tasty too. haven't really spent enough time there, certainly the balkans people took turkish things and made them even better. nothing better than a proper yugo burek, the turkish version is crap in comparison.
the whole region would be fun to live in for awhile and take the ferries everywhere across the Aegian.
i saw so many italian families eating together at restaurants, groups of old men meeting for morning coffee, etc etc. it looks like they achieved peak human and they are still there.
