Imagine never having known Command Line all these years & now experimenting with running #Bitcoin Miners in #ProxMox VMs 🥳

Like I’ve said many times before, 13 year old me is proud… so I’m happy AF 🙌🏾

What’re you playing with? stratum v2?

Nope. Just xmrig using unMineable as the pool.

Ooooh. So Monero mining?

Nope. Mining BTC via unminable. If you look at the picture showing the 3 miners you will see the auto payout is BTC.

I don’t play with shitcoins.

So mine XMR but payout in BTC? I see RandomX in that screenshot.

Nope. It mines BTC since XMRig allows for you to mine any coin you want using unminable.

You need to specify what coin you are mining (BRC) in the config along with your BTC address, mining pool address, port and miner name.

Just check out a tutorial on it. I don’t need to touch anything else but Bitcoin. Why are you trying to imply that I’m doing that when it’s not necessary to use the software & isn’t what is happening?

I mean XMR is in the name so it’s a perfectly reasonable assumption. I wouldn’t fault you for it either.

Do you net sats? I just have a single S9 underclocked to 500w and get some return. Is CPU mining worth it?

The name of the software is XMrig and not XMR, so that is where your confusion in the assumption comes from.

I am & will always remain Bitcoin Only. I don’t Shitcoin.

Nah, CPU mining is definitely not profitable & hasn’t been for a very long time now. But it is great for educationals & workshops so that people can get an understanding of what Bitcoin mining is, how to assign a worker to a pool, etc…
