When I was younger I remember learning about a concept used by the Navy SEALs which is the 40% rule.

When you think you are done, you're only 40% done.

How tf do you reconcile that with the idea of training to failure? Cause nobody is actually training to failure.

That rule is a concept by David Goggins, a Navy SEAL. He uses it to explain that when your brain tells you that you have no more, you actually have more but your brain would rather take the easy path.

I’m currently listening to his book and the next chapter introduces the concept so I’ll let you know.
