Organic is supposed to convey that whatever is being consumed hasnât been fed or treated with poisonâaccording to standards.
So it can be a pasture raised + organic. They are not mutually exclusive, as would be the case between cage free and pasture raised.
Even âPasture Raisedâ is a huge misnomer. Birds are only required to have avg 1sqft available each. The means most industrially produce âpasture raisedâ eggs donât have access to fresh grass or bugs, but rather a bare patch of ground outside of the warehouse.
Best bet: ignore all of above labels and buy locally produced eggs.
And they say cage free, as better. They are fooling you.
