Lmao of fucking course the proud cop refuses to acknowledge it when other cops are breaking the law. Sorry this took a while, but I unfortunately don't get paid to educate cops on how the law works, even though that seems like it'd be an extremely valuable public service. Took a while since I wanted to make sure I could actually cite sources for everything, and I could have very easily kept going, but I think a solid ten instances of illegal and/or unconstitional behavior is a good start.
Trump's invocation of the Alien Enemies Act is completely baseless, and it's dereliction of duty that it hasn't been struck down already. The text of the law EXPLICITLY restricts its invocation to circumstances pertaining to NATIONS and FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS, but the executive order invoking it doesn't even mention a foreign country. It targets a designated terrorist organization, which the Alien Enemies Act provides no authority for. And even if that were covered, it presupposes the "invasion" isn't a crock of shit in the first place. Relevant legal text: https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/50/21
Kilmar Abrego Garcia had a standing court order explicitly forbidding his deportation to the nation of El Salvador. Trump's administration argued in court, under oath that ICE was fully aware of that and made an "administrative error". https://apnews.com/article/el-salvador-deportation-maryland-man-trump-error-818a0fa1218de714448edcb5be1f7347
Garcia was not, in fact, afforded as much due process as he was entitled to under the constitution. He was not entitled to a full jury, but he WAS entitled to be seen by an immigration judge in case he wanted to contest his charges. Or bring up the fact that ICE was attempting to violate a court order by sending him to El Salvador. https://www.factcheck.org/2025/04/due-process-and-the-abrego-garcia-case/
The Trump admin ended up in court over its intention to send two planes of deportees to CECOT in El Salvador. When it became clear they were going to lose the case, they took advantage of a break in proceedings to get the flights airborne in an attempt to circumvent the impending court order. Hundreds of people had their rights violated. https://www.justsecurity.org/109173/timeline-flight-el-salvador-judge-order/
When the court ultimately ruled as expected and demanded that any related flights not depart or turn around and return immediately if they had departed. The Trump admin simply... Ignored the court order. Just flagrantly defied the judge. https://abcnews.go.com/US/trump-admin-ignores-judges-order-bring-deportation-planes/story?id=119857181
Deploying the National Guard to Los Angeles over the ICE protests was done under a law relating to insurrections or state inability to enforce federal law. LA police are on record explicitly saying that that was NOT the case, making the deployment baseless and illegal. https://news.bloomberglaw.com/us-law-week/deploying-troops-to-anti-ice-protests-is-wrong-unconstitutional
Authorizing US Marines to detain protesters in LA was also illegal as the military is EXPLICITLY legally forbidden from acting in a law enforcement capacity. https://www.military.com/daily-news/2025/06/11/marines-authorized-temporarily-detain-protesters-la-raising-legal-concerns.html
200 US Marines were sent to support ICE in Florida. Given that ICE is enforcing immigration law and the military is legally forbidden to act in a law enforcement capacity, this is obviously illegal. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-military-says-200-marines-being-sent-support-ice-florida-2025-07-03/
Trump tried to force states to comply with ICE by threatening to withhold transportation funding, but this was struck down in part because it's unconstitutional. Congress has the authority to allocate funds, not the president. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/unconstitutional-immigration-conditions-judge-blocks-trump-from-forcing-states-to-comply-with-ice-to-receive-transportation-funding/ar-AA1H6yZx
Trump signed an executive order that ordered the denial of federal documents recognizing citizenship of children born in the US if the mother is undocumented or here with temporary permission. Section 1 of the 14th amendment is VERY CLEAR that anyone born in the US is a citizen. Period. There's no arguing with it AT ALL. Trump trying to change that by executive order is an attempt to rewrite the constitution as he sees fit. If Trump and his Republican sycophants want to change how that works, they can follow the god damn constitution and use the processes we already have to change it. https://constitution.congress.gov/constitution/amendment-14/
