i had this thought the other day. there is obviously some pattern of activity in your pets brain that you could in theory decode to understand what they are thinking/saying. things like "i'm hungry", "i'm bored", etc.

its only a matter of time before someone builds a pet brain-computer-interface + app that allows you to communicate with your cat

Body language is like 80% of communication. I don't think we really need a translation AI when we can already tell.
