the combination of the zapstore, fdroid, obtainium, and termux on a degoogled android phone compared to an iPhone with the Apple appstore, is like the difference between owning property outright, and renting a tiny flat from a control freak.

If you can afford a cheap used pixel phone you can play with it on the side and be ready if you need it without the pressure of changing your entire digital life over all at once
