History is repeating. Bitcoin is in the middle of its form of the PGP wars. The arguments against it and the untenable “solutions” put forth by the government are the exact same.

They wanted people to hold their PGP private keys with custodians. PGP won. Bitcoin can too.

So strange that they think they have a say in these things. The network is outside their control and they can’t stand it. It’s like the FAA deciding they will now regulate all bird flight procedures.
