History is repeating. Bitcoin is in the middle of its form of the PGP wars. The arguments against it and the untenable “solutions” put forth by the government are the exact same.

They wanted people to hold their PGP private keys with custodians. PGP won. Bitcoin can too.

Reading Wired Magazine from 1993 ser?

Governments might be the worst things to ever happen to civilization.

#bitcoin helps alleviate the pain

Hey Marty, I recently finished a book about the cryptography wars by Steven Levy called Crypto, a great read. Pretty much throughout the book the NSA fought the cryptographers who were building privacy tools for the public & the NSA pretty much lost every fight. I have also been reminded of those fights with the recent crackdowns on bitcoin.

Yea man! It's so good! And so timely right now

Requiring the public to expose themselves to become easily searchable is literally a violation of the fourth amendment. The same goes with requiring bitcoin to be custodial-only, since that makes it easily seizible.

Translated, this is how it sounds to me:

"Freedom is dangerous. To keep society free, we must take freedom from everyone".

Exactly how fucking everyone (it helps that the majority doesn't even realize they are getting fucked, but this always seems to be the case; think covid, inflation/fiat scam, etc) and destroying the freedom of individuals results in a society that is freer for everyone, appears to be a logical impossibility.

If you didn't live through this, go read Crypto by Steven Levy. Great history of non-classified public key crypto and the (ongoing) fight to keep to keep private communications private!

Bitcoin fall bellow 57k after the halving due to the high volatility, and because of lack of skills and strategy most of you folks sell off with out of fear in the space,

Is there a fake bitcoin.rocks?

So strange that they think they have a say in these things. The network is outside their control and they can’t stand it. It’s like the FAA deciding they will now regulate all bird flight procedures.

How will Ten31 invest in custodial solutions then?
