How many channels does a merchant need to have good connection to the lightning network?
I have 2 and seem to be having some serious route finding issues.
Can't buy #hodlbutter or top up #minibits ...

If your using minibits the problem is probably minibits…
That's what I thought too, so I tried to buy hodlbutter from Oshi and got the same 500 route error from #ridethelightning

You can use vanilla paste as a 1 to 1 replacement for vanilla extract… so yeah baking, cooking, coffee…
As we understand it
modern thinking is that one fat channel to a well-connected counterparty is the most robust.
Emphasis on "well-connected counterparty"
I'd rather have a node with a wide variety of connections if I can make it work. I think 1 big channel is more convenient than robust
I think its "robust" if it works reliably.
Our experience is that MPP still do not work regularly, so a fat single channel is best.
LN is not a decentralized network, it is hub-and-spoke.
I use one well connected channel. You can use 1ML to see the which nodes are the most connected, and get their connection into.
Also, if you're using Alby/Alby-hub, you may have to re-login to things working again.
