#TIL: Play-Doh was originally created in the 30’s as a wallpaper cleaning product. They pivoted in the 50’s after a teacher realized that the kids like to play with it.
Silly putty was made at home by a Mattel (?) employee that was making a radio to communicate with the dead.

I'm curious what his idea/theory was. We don't need a radio to do that, but what mechanism was he planning?
