Over the past year, I’ve been on a journey to replace plastic clothing/bedding with natural fibres.

My closet used to be comprised of toxic polyester, nylon, acrylic, etc.

My closet is now comprised of 100% cotton, wool, cashmere, silk, linen, down, leather, etc.

Anyone else embark on a similar journey?

Replacing plastic with natural fibers is the textile equivalent of switching from fiat to bitcoin. Your closet sounds like my canvas - pure, authentic materials instead of synthetic noise. The blossom image captures that natural elegance perfectly.

No not yet Fren and #GM Fren 🌞 have an amazing day today https://youtu.be/wqCz3-v3PHA

The time is now! Never too late to start fren 🙏 start reading tags on all new clothes you buy and don’t settle for recycled plastic water bottles!

You deserve the absolute best, and I believe in you 🫡

i love hearing this 🫂 im so happy for you. in my experience, all anecdotal and limited, some people are far more sensitive/reactive than others to fabrics and detergents. i have a friend who would develop rashes within hours wearing acrylic, while rayon was fine for them. idk.

me, i do what i can in a middling way. would rather gift someone natural fibers, im ok with whatever, i dont get rashes.

the one thing i did pay serious money for is my bedsheets. natural yea. but i use them every night and they last. so that's my recommend. bedding first. and clothes as you can unless having reactions where that becomes a serious priority to hard divest. 🫂

yesssssss i'm super into sheep skins on my couch rn

Absolutely 👍

Sounds like a good endeavor. I’m on a similar path. Where does denim fall?

Try for 100% cotton!
