if it's an attempt to get "nobody use desktop apps" answer then you got it wrong.

There is a group of desktop power users that clearly find value in the performance of desktop apps.
The open ended question I asked seeks to uncover which apps provide value today to nostriches.

either way 95+% of applications I use is a desktop app.

things not stored on a server/web/ip but published. everyone can share and everyone can render as they like.
this idea is not new. It's ipfs, bittorrent and other tech all over again.
if we can't get rid of IP protocol it's still censorsble and centralized
