How does nostr achieve mass adoption like Twitter? Like all social media, critical mass of users is essential for success
Discussion
Content, and a wider range of it. From bitcoin to stupid cat videos. If you want mass appeal then appeal to the masses. Zaps, and dev speak won’t do that. In traditional social media models. Bitcoin, and dev speaks would fit in a group, community or a page to follow, and engage with, and not the entire social platform model. Because the masses don’t care about bitcoin. They care about politics, pornography, and stupid cat videos. Appeal to them and grow exponentially at the cost of diluting the content, but it would work. If not then keep the tight nit crypto, and dev community that currently is Nostr. Really either path is fine. It’s just which path would you prefer?
Because you can’t have both.
I’m inclined to agree with you, and it’s a good question too. I’m a software engineer but I think I’d get bored just reading software development content all the time, so I’d prefer the other option
