FB today and IG tomorrow. WhatsApp deletion is a tad more difficult because my international friends don’t utilize Signal.
The thing is with Signal => it’s been conflicted out since at least 2019.

Huh, I guess I haven't heard that. It's opensource so short of the gov just backdooring your phone to gain access (ez), or using a quantum computer to make encryption obsolete (probably) it's pretty good imho.
Maybe someone can point me at why signal bad. Either way it's light-years better than Whatsapp, I got my WhatsApp friends to switch so I could delete it.

I'm curious about your thoughts about WhatsApp and Signal and international contacts. I am in a similar boat. Have you considered other alternatives to these two, like Threema?
Just googled Threema. WhatsApp is Meta so it’s a no for me ultimately. Signal is the best out there, I’ll stay on it bc I know what it is, it’s just not as long term ideal as a nostr client for what people here on nostr are seemingly wanting.

Signal should be safe to use. It’s end to end encrypted
Kind4 has no forward secrecy. Don't use it since it is not proper end-to-end encryption.
For now, use nostr DMs to exchange SimpleX id instead.

Man. IG deletion feels harder for sure. Working through the business conversations needed to be done with it by EOD.
Why harder? Industry artists utilize IG more directly than FB, and there are more GenZ accounts active on IG than FB.
Effing Meta, man. What concise toplines can be shared about Meta so that next gen is less involved in Metas nonsense?
