100%. I don’t think any ride or die wants to showcase their stack size. But we have to come to terms that no matter our lifestyle, we probably slipped up somehow in the past and exposed at least some of our stack size. The uptick in violence against bitcoiners will likely surprise to the upside. I just hope we are ready when it does

The more of us with good designs that make it impossible to get our keys using violence the quicker those will die down.

Multisig keys spread around at good enough friends that they'll greet us armed to the teeth if we show up trying to access our sats just in case.

Ya idk how one would make it impossible, and multisig doesn’t stop a gun held to a love one’s head. I think the threat model is shifting more toward sophisticated and resourceful attackers. In which case, it might it be better to scatter a critical masses of us across highly densely populated areas so there’s a high collateral damage in case of attack

Definitely a bit of an arms race case.

I'm saying put keys in places you cannot access without calling ahead where they will greet you ready for a fight. This stops the basic kidnap and beat the keys out of you approach we keep seeing.

True, that may work. But how many ride or dies have access to that kind of network? How many in that network are willing to die for the coin? How many of those people are you willing to put in harms way? Presumably they’re people you care about and don’t want in harms way. I’m just saying I’d like to see the most radical of us form swarms across states, with each swarm contractually obligated to render aid in times of distress.

I doubt violence would even be needed. Just the situation is a massive deterrent. The only way to move the coin means going to unknown turf, guns, dogs, cameras, unknown number of guards, more witnesses.

Kind of an I don't need to outrun the bear, I need to outrun you scenario. Criminals are looking for easy targets.

I'm not saying it can't be done to get that coin. I'm saying that it takes a more skilled and hardened criminal, realistically it takes a team.

All good points. I would highlight booby trapping keys. As the price increases, we will see more of those skilled criminals make moves on more targets in the space. This weighs on my mind because there aren’t many of us (targets)
