trully, shitcoiners simply don't know

and finding the occasion to even explain it to them is a hard one

Each must find #Bitcoin in their own way 👀

How is it possible to be working in crypto and not know this?

Truly amazing.

the shitcoin devs i work with and hear from really do not actually understand lightning, some of them know the words but most of them actually have never used it... for me first using it in 2021 was amazing, it made even the 15 second confirmations of ethereum seem like weaksauce

I must be more of a nerd and further down the rabbit hole than I think I am.

Its even surprising how little understanding of bitcoin some bitcoin "influencers" seem to have.

yeah, "we are early" is not an exaggeration or just a trite platitude

when trumpy and co talk bitcoin, they are not talking about lightning... and probably jack dorsey has been one of the biggest voices bringing people to lightning

but most people hear bitcoin they are thinking on-chain... imagine how it's going to be when they learn how far things have advanced past this, it's gonna one day hit a critical mass and everyone is like "fuck that fiat" all of a sudden

the state change is going to happen, and nobody can stop it, and it's gonna literally be an overnight flip, once the light turns on

Even on-chain absolute basic knowledge seems so low.

For me the "we are early" signal is seeing that there are only 20k or so nodes.

it may change quickly in places with guaranteed electricity & network. Anywhere else tho, cash is superior because of reliability & brand recognition.

the thing is that where there is stable power and networking is where it matters the most

these places you speak of as they are right now in the world mostly have adopted FRNs as their currency, even El Salvador was like this prior to Bukele

some places, like Venezuela, they tried to outlaw this and they ended up with so much cash they were using it as toilet paper

if power and networks are down, everyone is at the same level, and that level will be confined to local trade, because telecoms will be dead, and all federations and central authorities, not just like the us federal government or the EU, even the provincial/shire governments will be dead, the national payment networks will be dead

everyone will then depend on physical cash, but i think that's probably the least of the problems if the power and networks are down

starving entitled socialist brainwashed morons are gonna be the bigger problem, and all of a sudden nobody's gonna care about gun laws either

ignoring SHTF scenarios.. cash can get wet, and u don't have to charge your phone to use it. properties that make it superior everywhere except the (sub)urban jungles.

digital currency isn't superior for most use cases in impoverished places
