America is finally going to get a taste of the BMW M5 Touring that Europeans have enjoyed for many years. You lot are not as fond of wagens as we are. You prefer your SUVs for your grocery getters.

This is for the BMW loyalists at heart who were patient and didn't buy an E63 or an RS6 Avant and can afford a car with over $100K. I'm just glad they put a V8 and not some wussy. It's a plug-in hybrid that weighs a whopping 5,530 lbs. Fat heavy bitch.

Thatโ€™s a beauty. Love BMW

It is lovely. I'm just glad the grille doesn't look like kidneys. They kept it subtle.

Definitely. The interior is great too๐Ÿ”ฅ

Why do i have the feeling that this console might get warm enough under the greek sun and explode like a hezbollah pager? ๐Ÿ˜€

You see a pager on the console? ๐Ÿ˜‚

Lemme put my glasses on

After all this plastic stuff i have seen meltingnin my car i can imagine many things ๐Ÿ˜€

Your car has a pager?

Not yet

Nami! Bad boi

Seriously though, some cars have indeed caught fire here because they forgot the mobile phone in the car.

That does happen.

I mean there are Ferraris that have spontaneously combusted.

It also happens because of Android phones inside jeeps ๐Ÿ‘€

Jews strike again!

Hey don't be antisemetic

Batteries are baaaadddd

Overheating is a real problem ๐Ÿ™„

Let's hope you're not on the list.

Very temping! Although Iโ€™m still having a ton of fun with my 7000 lbs 2022 R1T

Oof! Battery weight.

You ordered the new one didn't you? Is that heavier?

Yeah was thinking about updating to the new quad but 1000hp is probably not the best idea for me ๐Ÿ˜

Also been craving something classicโ€ฆ need an old ride

Hmm any ideas?

In the past itโ€™s always been American muscle cars. Now Iโ€™m kinda leaning Brit muscle possibly 1980 Aston Martin

V8.. V8 Vantage.. ๐Ÿซก

Any experience or advice with these vehicles?

It has its known and common issues in varying degrees of severity from mechanical latch issues to total engine failure. A few have come through the workshop. My usual advice to would be buyers of classic AMs is generally non-technical and thatโ€™s.. be prepared. One with good maintenance history is preferred. I think most common issues can be addressed by a restomod.

This late 70s V8 we maintain is owned by the son of a former owner of AM who lives in the area. This one doesnโ€™t have any problems. ๐Ÿ˜„

Wow, LOVE that color! Awesome excellent advice thank you ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป yeah I figured the โ€œbe preparedโ€ part so Iโ€™ve been very cautious as thereโ€™s not a lot to choose from around LA. The one or two Iโ€™ve seen were reasonably priced but not in good shape at all. I do like the idea of restomoding something but that budget is down the line in a future time.

Fight me

We call that a land yacht.

Early aughts 3 series wagon for me, instead. If I was inclined....

80s?

Like the E30 touring?

Yessss

00s.

Or a 2002. With a turbo. ๐Ÿ˜…

Ohh I had no idea what aughts mean. ๐Ÿ˜„ I do love a 2002tii as well. Turbocharged, I think the output was 170 hpโ€™s of absolute fun.

Well... I wouldn't keep it stock. I would build a rally inspired turbo setup and have a VERY responsive 300whp setup.

That is gymkhana calibre power

Yeah. It is.

If I wasn't moving, I'd be building that for a friend... ๐Ÿ˜
