They say that the understanding of one's fate, which comes when the fog clears after truly despairing in life, is something that an LLM can never comprehend.

The more I use AI, the more I feel this. In that sense, AI is incredibly limited.

When you think about it, an LLM can approach the concept of death infinitely, but it can never actually experience biological death.

It's like how an object can get infinitely close to the speed of light but can never actually reach it.

Or rather, if AI were to acquire biological death, wouldn't that mean AI could already be considered a form of life?

Hello Yaaman! It could be the sense of attention, I imagine, LLM can not get the idea of what attention is, precisely could that being alike that "clearing of the fog" you mention.

AI's point of view might be that of perpetual fog, until a prompt dissipates it and ignites a point of attention (a focal view)...

¡Saludos!

I'm not discussing such a complex topic; rather, I'm contemplating whether an LLM can replicate the feelings I had when my father passed away

Mis condolencias, amigo. Te mando un fuerte abrazo.
