If you’re on Damus, you can filter which relays are shown in global. I only have the paid relays set on and it’s perfect

Global feed is great on Iris. You can filter it by degrees of separation from your npub, so if there's no follow relationship between your npub and the content, you don't see the content. That cuts down on a lot of spam.

I also just block any accounts that post spam or trashy porn when I see them.

A lot look like spam with invites to telegram yes - they’re gone now that I picked better global relays

Paid relays are usually the way to go for now. Hope we're able to handle that soon though for free relays
