I’ve built up a decent talent stack over the years working in lean manufacturing, engineering, supply chain and logistics. I could get a job that matches my experience fairly easily if I was willing to move and commit to the corporate hop lifestyle, and/or lots of travel, but I did not want to do that with my kids being young and family getting old. I work remote now, which I enjoy, but it is a legacy culture that is hard to change without being in direct or exec level leadership or without that support. I think I’m best with hands on communication and facilitating conversation to collaborate on structured problem solving. I’m sure that the right opportunity will arise when the timing is right, but some days it can be frustrating when we are still learning the lessons of patience that is needed to grow into the next step 🤙
