I've had a blessed abundance in the first year garden via these galvanized tubs, despite a bit of deer browsing. Now it's time for me to do some final harvesting and thinning once deciding what to keep and overwinter. It's also time to get cover crops into most of these tubs. Next year I plan to reduce the amount of vegetables and increase medicinal plants for drying and tincturing, as I have good local sources for veg but not for medicinal herbs. Potentially this could be a decent side hustle for me.

That sounds like an awesome idea. I'd be interested to see what medicine you grow and preservation/use methods.

My garden is weedy. I spread myself too thin and didn't get as much as I should have of anything.

I'm starting to plan out what I could grow by concentrating on characteristics. For example, analgesics. Of all the helpful herbs for that, what could I easily grow in my area for that purpose? You could do the same for whatever most ails your family.

I want to grow some Wintergreen. Its basically asprin, the essential oil in the leaves.

I've had no luck convincing it to germinate yet. My retired mother has my seeds now and is trying different media.
