Half of the US doesn’t believe in physics and the other half doesn’t believe in genetics.

“My lived experience tells me space is fake”

“My lived experience tells me I’m not x gender”

Ironically, each side will claim the other is a “science denier”.

I’ve never seen someone deny space even on YouTube. Help me break my echo chamber, send me a link.

I don't think trans people are so delusional that they believe they aren't still limited by biology. It's more about how they present themselves to the world and how the world reacts to that presentation. I'm sure they know they will never be biologically the opposite gender they were born as. The best they can get is appearing convincing enough as the opposite gender that they are treated by others as such. If doing so makes them happier and allows them to be their "true self" then I say go for it. They are just doing what they think is best for themselves.

Much of the revulsion seems to come from religious types that think it's an affront to God's design or sin or whatever. That is the real delusion, people that think they have moral authority because of their faith and that justifies their hate. If you aren't religious and you still think there is a reason to be upset about trans people feel free to fill me in on your rational reasoning.

I’m not really upset about trans people so maybe I’m the wrong person to answer. For me, the problem is telling children that they can be trans. The majority of transgender people are extremely unhappy with their lives, and getting surgery to “change” your sex is terrible and rarely makes people happy.

I believe you can act or be whatever you want, but if you have to surgically mutilate your body to do so, then maybe there’s a problem - and we definitely shouldn’t be telling kids that that surgery is a solution to that problem.

My revultion is that it's generally speaking going to limit their options for partnership, procreation and building a family. Which I believe is a path to utter misery and sorrow. You can think whatever makes you happiest is what's best for you, but it's simply not true.

My revultion is the narrative is a lie. We should pursue truth to make progression as a species.

You use this word hate, but I don't think most people that disagree with your premise, hate anyone. In fact it's the opposite. I think trying to change your gender expression from your biological one is trying to represent yourself as a lie. I think that is a road to confusion and depression. Helping people does not mean indulging their delusions. It means confronting them.

Heroin makes it's users happy to. So be it right? Interesting enough, do I think either be illegal? No. People should absolutely be free to make whatever decisions they want as a consenting adult. But ultimate freedom bears ultimate responsibility. We should foster a culture that pursues truth.
