Linux distros for noobs with old machines . . . I can reccomend Linux MINT---the Xfce version.

It is lightweight and takes the guesswork out of some things like package installs and definitely driver software stuffs.

Everything I have needed so far has worked--GUI and Terminalé.

I have not enjoyed Ubuntu (feels shitcoiney) or Pop! OS (too slow for old machine). Zorin was okay but not enough support for le confusions that were encountered. The Cinnamon version of MINT just didn't work well for what I needed and crashed a lot, so I cannot reccoment that. Lol.

Will stick with MINT xfce for a while now, unless I hit any fences... Lolol.

I recently switched to MX Linux (default is xfce), and am liking it. When you're distro hunting again, check it out.

Okay sweeet! Appreciate the suggestion. Will keep an eye out on the next hunt. Haha. ♥️

Good to know. Thank you! I’m on Zorin OS myself on my first non Windows laptop. Feels good. 😏
