I think it’s a good starting foothold. Network effects need some sort of base to build from. Bitcoiners’ interest in permissionless money translates well to permissionless socials.

Over time, the UX will improve, people will check it out if they run into centralized blockages on other networks, etc.

But I try to put non-Bitcoin content here as much as possible.

Your non bitcoin content is much appreciated and fun to read ☺️ thank you 🙏

And I agree, we did need a starting base and we got a great one.

I'm thinking I'm terms of nostr native apps, that provide functionalities and services. like nostr:npub1kmwdmhuxvafg05dyap3qmy42jpwztrv9p0uvey3a8803ahlwtmnsnhxqk9 , nostr:npub15xd2mmjnh3caykh77djsv73e0zkrp42jp5mwerx8f4m6su40wdvss7t3l3 and so on.

what is something that could make nostr events more meaningful to you, beyond the purely social aspect?

Bitcoiners are early adopters of freedom technology so it would make sense that they're here before everyone else.
