Curbing hostile regime puppets is fine, but how do they differentiate between eg. Russian/Chinese sockpuppets and regular domestic people that merely have unpopular/non-mainstream opinions? That's what I want to know.

The only reason they need to curb "misinformation" is because knowledge of the crimes of western govts are going mainstream & their controlled outlets are now useless because no one believes them. They are trying to ban what is actually popular.
