Do you do anything else before putting it through the berkey? Pre filter?

I dont bother any more, just try not to tip any bits of grit in there. The compartment isn't sealed so sometimes dust etc drops in when I lift the lid, so it needs rinsing out every now and then anyway

GM to youπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ and GN for me, it's only 1935hrs here so I'm just gonna read in bed for and hour then catch some Zeds!

What are you reading?

It's the first in a series of 4 books called "Globalistan" about Geopolitics, by Pepe Escobar. I have all 4 books on my kindle to see my through my travelsπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ.

πŸ‘Œ currently half way through Plant Messiah by Carlos Magdalena about finding and propagating rare species

Gm!

Maybe look into one of these if you haven't already (with fine mesh filter), I have one, just need to get around to getting it installed.

Awesome

how often do you change the filter?

I scrub them monthly and replace every 12 months (proper berkey filters last longer, I have the cheap ones)

I read somewhere 11 years!

Yes looking forward to testing those

if you live long enough

Haha
