I believe I have a lightening wallet set up in Iris, I guess this means I need to go buy some bitcoin maybe I could mine some, na turned in my shovel and pick that want work. Just really want to know if it works before I go to coin exchange, or could someone recommend a better place to buy bitcoin?
I seriously don't know anything about bitcoin.

Welcome to Nostr. Would recommend Strike or River exchanges. Both are lightning capable. You could start with a few dollars worth to play around with. River has a delay before they clear funds. I believe you could use Strike for a small amount without a long delay, or perhaps none at all.

I have a blue walled the receive address starts like bitcoin:bc1 does that look like a lightening address?
I'm still a little muddled here, I installed Blue Wallet, I now have Strike set up, strike is the exchange got that, if your sending zaps to my ttom@strike.me address why do I need the blue wallet? There must be somewhere in blue wallet to put the lightening address but damned if I can find it.
Now you can use that to practice zapping.
