the whole point of being able to block someone, for instance, on bluesky introduced a bunch of changes to their plans and architecture, because you have to control what someone else can see and not just what you see. People coming to nostr will have to trade that away.

if you just hate Tesla guy you go to threads. bluesky has the hard core social justice experts, not just virtue signaling progressives (well maybe the dev team), but the hard core radicals.
imo, threads is for if you hate that guy but miss the brands & celebs on twitter, bsky is for if you hate that guy but miss the community you built on twitter

speaking of assholes I saw someone comparing a literal gaping asshole to tits, and expressed that moderation was uneven, I thought that was an incredibly interesting moral dilemma despite not being pro moderation.
