Sorry to say this but the Nostr experience went steep downhill over the last 2 months.

Amethyst has become completely unusable since public relay inboxes are a thing, I added some and still don't get any notifications.

Primal is just general trash without notifications besides the same bots following and unfollowing everyday.

0 engagement or I just can't see it.

Trying Yakihonne now...

It was my go-to Client most of the time, i don't see any none technical person using it at this point since there is no clear indication which relays and how to add them.

Sometimes, less is more.

I had the opposite experience with amethyst. I didn't change anything about my relay setup and it works better than ever after the update.

Interesting, as mentioned above for me it is unusable. Everytime I open I get notifications from pm's I received 6 months ago and that's it

I will try, but this is far to much to ask for a non tech person who is used to download, Facebook, Instagram etc and use it from the get go without any settings about relays which they in most cases have no idea what it even is
