I’ll never understand why we didn’t call a pickle a prune instead. It was right there! Pruny cucumber.

It's called a pickle because you're actually pickling things. You can have pickled anything.

But a prune is a dried date. If your finger gets dry it doesn’t prune. We should call something wrinkling in liquid a prune not a pickle.

I mean, seems a little unfair that anything can be pickled, but cucumbers get to be THE pickle.

True true. I wonder why is that I never put thought to that. Hahaha
