Don't worry, Microsoft is working hard to get those numbers up with all their hardware requirements, ads, lack of privacy, forced updates, etc.

Ohh Windows and Microsoft is so done. I'm switching to ChromeOS the next computer I buy.
You should give Linux a try, it works great on older hardware and you don't even have to install it to try it. Something like Linux Mint will have a familiar feel.
