When nostr becomes the standard we will no longer need to screenshot and archive scammer tweets before they inevitably delete them.

Every nostr post is cryptographically signed, by design. Just need to keep a copy.

Agreed ๐Ÿ‘ also several copies may be broadcasted to many relays.

yea, in practice any post by someone with a large audience will most likely have thousands of redundant cryptographically verifiable copies around the world

Those people will just get weeded out over time. Incentivizing and retraining better behavior naturally, correct?

stronger accountability and better incentives should help but ultimately most people tend to blindly trust influencers who tell them they can get rich easily without personal responsibility

blindly trusting people is easier than actually doing the work, many fall for it, long term as people get burned they ultimately realize there are no shortcuts, and they must practice personal responsibility

Not just beingazy, some people actually lack the capabilities.

Assume 50% is below par and a good part is near to non existent.

Waiting for nostr.archive.org to hang onto all the things.

This is actually what screws the hell out of me: a permanent public record of everything you said, liked, interacted with and more.

And the โ€œI got hackedโ€ excuse for shitty takes only works once per account

In before "my private key was compromised"!

Seriously, though, nostr needs key renovation.

*revocation

Nostr is the accountability tool that we lacked.

Few understand this yet!

The only tricky part is to verify that the person signing the post with that key actually was that person.

I suppose some sort of (im)plausible-key-deniability will be a thing in the future.

Powerful #nostr

Feels weird reading a Odell post uncaped

That is a good point. People should take more responsibility for what they post, which could also lead to less negativity and hatefulness as well.
